If You Really Care About Me . . .

. . . you'll post a review of my book on Amazon. You people (or someone, at least, but I am assuming it is largely people I know personally, which is what I assume about the readership of this blog) are buying the book--from Amazon and directly from the publisher, but nobody has written anything on the Amazon page, so the casual browser, i.e., the person who doesn't know me, sees nothing, and I feel all lonely and pathetic. Which is not a pretty picture, I assure you.

Of course it will be best if you write something favorable, but maybe I better not push my luck. You know what they say: as long as they spell the name right. That would be MAINES.

Ooh, maybe we could invent my biography in the reader reviews . . . what interesting things might the author of Ex Cathedra have been and done in her storied existence? Hmmm. We could have some fun with this . . .

Okay, done. A-zon tells me it should show up in a day or so. I hope this helps! I know all about tracking A-zon sales figures (not that they probably really mean anything, but one becomes desperate for any indications of reader response, yes?)
